Of course you’ve spent the last few weeks watching the games whittle down to the Final Four on your direct TV but unless you’re a fan of one of these teams you can probably agree they’re severely overrated. Here’s a top three list of what we believe are the most hyped, most hated teams in the NCAA:
UNC – Seriously. UNC is good, of course, but few other teams have such a rabid fan base without the historical cred to back it up. And what the heck is a Tarheel, anyway?
Duke – Is there a more obnoxious fan base out there? Not only do Duke fans think their basketball team is the team to end all teams on any given season but they also think they’re ivy leaguers. No offense, Duke students, but it’s not as good as you think it is
Kentucky – Kentucky is the quiet favorite – they’re not too in your face which is nice but they’ve got a history of upsetting everyone’s brackets in one way or another which is not the way to make friends.

Becoming a better player is the ultimate goal for any athlete. While every sport has aspects and skills unique to itself, a group of core exercises will prepare any athlete’s body for the challenges it will face. By following a core set of exercises you can quickly become a better player.
Stretching is an exercise that all athletes need to consider. It can help prevent injury if performed before exercise and increases the rate of recovery if performed afterwards. In order to stretch properly it’s necessary to perform each stretch for a time period of at least one minute. Stretching helps to increase blood flow to the muscle, bringing in vital nutrients needed for exercise and recovery.
Running is also a great core exercise for any sport. It helps to increase your stamina and endurance, keeping you in the game longer. Every athlete should consider a running regimen outside of practice for their sport. If you can move faster for a longer period of time than another athlete it gives you a unique advantage.
Push-ups, sit-ups and pull-ups should also be utilized by every athlete. They require no equipment and can be done at your convenience.
By following these simple exercises you will become a better player.

There are no secrets or shortcuts to becoming an allstar basketball player; in order to be great you have to practice, train, do required weight training, get up early before practice and hit the court, and you have to be willing to do this everyday of your life. No matter what physical features you have, you must train in order to be great.

Although certain characteristics will definately help, like if you are 6’10”, or are the fastest player in the game, but even those with natural physical features which tend to make great players great, you must still be willing to work at it to make your game perfect. You must be willing to put in an extra hour after the rest of the team has left for the day, get to the gym early to start lifting with your trainer, and have the dedication to follow through.

There are many ways to become great, but to become great at an allstar level, players must be willing to do more, and train harder than the players that feel that good enough, is okay. Dedication and hard work are required, there are no shortcuts to being great, you have to work at it on a daily basis, and be willing to sacrifice your body to be the best you can be.

No matter if you are trying out for your high school team or just playing with friends getting better many times is the goal. There are many tips on how to play basketball better. Most people do not realize that only a few extra hours a week can make a dramatic improvement in your game. One of the keys to getting better in basketball is taking the time to practice. No matter how great your talent level is you still need to put in the work at the gym or local basketball court.

Work on the skills that you are lacking on a consistent basis. Most players do not do this and that is why they struggle to get better. Try to visit camps during the summer. Throughout the country there are many basketball camps given my pros and experts to help improve your game. Do not be afraid to ask coaches or others where you need work. Many times players do not like to hear criticism, but it will help you become a better player. Getting better will not happen overnight, as you will need to work on it. Follow some of these simple tips and you will be a better basketball player in time for your next tryout.

To become a great basketball player, a person must put in a lot of work. Some people think just being tall or athletic is good enough to make you a great basketball player. Nothing could be further from the truth. The reason the best basketball players make it look so easy is because of the hours and hours of practice that they put into the game of basketball.

Some of the best basketball players are known for taking hundreds of jump shots a day. This leads to them becoming great shooters, able to knock down 15-foot jump shots with ease. They make it look like a natural ability due to the hours of practice that they put in.

To become a great basketball player, a person must also practice their ball handling. Ball handling drills can make a person an excellent dribbler on the court. Learning to dribble the ball with both hands is something that a player must develop. Some players will actually practice dribbling two balls at once to build better coordination. They dribble one ball with their right hand, while dribbling another ball with their left hand. Dribbling skills are essential for the point guard position in basketball.
